Dhanush bagged the Best Actor Award for the film. VIP music director Anirudh bagged Best Music Director 2014 and Best Song of the Year Awards. Amala Paul won Best Actress for VIP and the movie also bagged the Best Film Award. And of course, the Favourite Song Award went to the song Amma Amma in VIP.
VIP was the biggest hit of 2014 and though other films also did well, it was VIP that seemed to be popular among the masses. The songs were also a big hit – Amma Amma, Po Indru Neeyage, VIP title song and What A Karvaad are still being played on the radio across channels.
