Touted as the most expected movie of the year, the epic conclusion of the baahubali franchise released on Friday, 28th of April. Exceeding expectations, the movie performed well at the boxoffice. The movie is said to have collected around 121 crore in its first day of hitting the screens. With this number, the movie has already broken the record of Aamir Khan starrer Dangal which took 3 days' time to mint 100 Crores at the box office.
Dangal is said to have reported a collection of 385 Crores in its lifetime becoming the highest grosser of all time. Trade analysts are speculating Baahubali to break this record very sooner with the theatres already running to full houses.
Baahubali the conclusion is the second part of the epic Baahubali franchise, the first part of which was released in 2015. The first part released to great expectations and was well received by the audience. The first part of the series ended with a cliff hanger of a question as to why Kattappa killed baahubali ?.
The second part provided an epic conclusion to the saga with a grand climax. The movie is released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions. The Hindi version of the movie garnered around 42 Crores on the first day and also raked in 40 crores on day two too. The first day collection from the southern regions amounted to 80 Crores in total including Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions.
